Passengers
What is IXI YAMI?
IXI YAMI is a mobility app that connects passengers with partner drivers, offering safe, fast and affordable rides in your city.
How do I book a ride?
Just open the app, enter your pick-up point and destination, confirm the ride type and tap “Request ride”. A nearby driver is dispatched and you can follow everything in real time.
How is the fare calculated?
The fare is based on distance, trip time and vehicle category (Motorbike, Economy or Premium). Before confirming, the app shows a price estimate. At peak times or in heavy traffic, the final fare may vary. See fares.
Which payment methods are accepted?
You can pay in the app using the IXI YAMI Wallet, Unitel Money, payment by reference or Kwik, or in cash. The receipt is sent automatically to your email.
Is IXI YAMI safe?
Yes. All drivers go through a verification process and trips are monitored by GPS 24/7. The app has an emergency button and you can share your trip with someone you trust.
Do you also offer motorbike rides?
Yes. Just choose the “Motorbike” option when requesting a ride. Helmets are mandatory for rider and passenger, and the price is calculated automatically before you confirm. Learn more.
In which cities is IXI YAMI available?
Currently in Luanda, Benguela, Huíla (Lubango) and Saurimo, with expansion to other Angolan cities coming soon. See coverage areas.
What benefits do I get as a passenger?
You earn bonuses as you use the platform and can take part in the 100-Ride Challenge, which gives access to a driving school scholarship under the campaign rules. See passenger benefits.
Drivers
How do I become a partner driver?
You need a valid category B driving licence or higher, a vehicle in good condition, to be at least 21, an Android or iOS smartphone and photos of the vehicle. Fill in the form on the Drive with us page and our team will contact you.
How much can I earn as a driver?
Partner drivers can earn up to 140,000 Kz per week, plus a 5% bonus on every successfully completed ride, according to the programme rules.
What benefits do drivers get?
In-car security cameras, car insurance, regular maintenance, a 5% bonus per ride and challenges with rewards such as a driving school scholarship and a health card. See driver benefits.
What benefits do motorbike riders get?
A 5,000 Kz fuel bonus for completing 20 rides in a week, 2 GB of data per week for riders who hit the target, personal accident insurance and a lawyer for legal disputes on the road while on duty. The lawyer is also available to drivers. See motorbike rider benefits.
I own a fleet. Can I become a partner?
Yes. We offer fleet partnerships in the Gold and Platinum categories. Terms are presented in person or through direct contact with our team. See partnerships.
Account and support
How do I delete my account?
You can request deletion in the app (when available) or by emailing geral@ixiyami.ao with the subject “Account Deletion Request”. See the full process.
